Obtain a copy of the Licence Agreement (a copy can be obtained from theTottenham Welfare Council).
Check your insurance. You will require a public liability policy for at least $10,000,000, and contents insurance for the rented address. See 5.1 of the agreement.
If undertaking renovations, you will require a personal injury (self employed) policy which notes the licensor as an interested party.
Sign the licence agreement prior to commencement of occupancy. Both parties can terminate this agreement within 90 days of signing.
Pay rent (item 1), security bond (item 9) and any other legal fees (item 2.2) prior to commencement of occupancy.
The licensor must sight your insurance policy prior to commencement of occupancy.
You will be responsible for electricity and outgoing fees as set out in the licence agreement 12.1.
