Think about your terms and aims eg: do you want the site renovated or help on the farm - Caretaker role.
Decide on the 1 hectare of land that will go with the house.
View a copy of the Licence Agreement (a copy can be obtained from theTottenham Welfare Council).
Determine the rent and the terms of agreement (eg 12 months rent in advance per Item 7 in the Licence Agreement).
Determine the security bond payable prior to commencement of occupancy.
Notify your insurance company of your intention to rent-a- farm house along with 1 hectare of land. Your public liability will need to be at least $10 million dollars. Check if you should take out any other insurance eg tenant liability.

The committee will arrange for W. Burke & Co from Narromine to conduct a rental check on the applicants to ensure that they have been good tenants.
The Licence Agreement must be signed prior to commencement of occupation. Both Parties can terminate this agreement within 90 days of signing. The fee payable for the agreement is $220 GST inc.
Sight the licensee’s public risk policy & contents insurance policy.
With reasonable notice the licensor can inspect the site and ensure compliance with the agreement.
The Licensor is responsible for paying for any materials needed if renovations are to be carried out. The security bond can be adjusted accordingly.
If the property is sold the tenant can be asked to vacate (as per license agreement item 8.2).
